Every May at Cooper's Hill in England, the Cooper's Hill Cheese Rolling / takes place. It is traditionally held by and for the people of Brockworth the local village but now people from all over the world participate. A round of cheese is rolled down from the top of Cooper's Hill, and participants race after it. The first person to cross the finish line at the bottom of the hill wins the cheese No one has ever actually caught the cheese, since it starts a second ahead of the racers and can roll at speeds up to 70mph. The steep, uneven surface of the hill causes a number of injuries to competitors each year
